“I remember our first call together; I described my debilitating stage fright, my intense desire to sing, and how confusing it was having both of these emotions simultaneously. As Ruth spoke and described her programs I thought to myself, “Wow, she really gets it!” As a HypnoCoach I connected to and appreciated her holistic approach whole-heartedly.
On February 4th, 2013 Ruth asked me to sing at one of her client workshops. I was grateful for the opportunity and yet TERRIFIED by the idea. Ruth’s calm, confident, and loving energy helped me to say yes. I got up, sang “At Last” with my eyes closed, made it through the song, everyone clapped…and then I burst into tears! I left feeling empowered that I accepted the opportunity to sing, happy that I made it through the song, and absolutely ridiculous for crying in front of the most supportive audience on the planet. My frustration with myself grew that night and something snapped; my fear of never getting over stage fright suddenly became stronger than my fear of success/failure. I was finally ready to use the skills I have honed as a HypnoCoach to work in conjunction with Ruth’s teaching in order to overcome my stage fright.
Two weeks after the new client workshop I played a live gig to a packed house at Arlene’s Grocery; I was happy and excited the entire time! I am also now the proud lead-singer of a band, am a member of a song-writing collective, and am finishing the recording of my first EP. Seriously, Ruth radically changed my life for the better in a matter of three months. I am so very grateful to her.”
